A Chinese character, Sai Fong from A Cricket In Times Square says farewell to a young bo named Mario by saying: “you go now… Always be ready for happiness.”
Interesting phrase isn’t it, how we only prepare ourselves for the unpleasant and the difficult yet tend to forget to prepare when happiness comes our way. How we react to the good things in our live and show our appreciation that an overwhelmingly superb feeling surrounds us.
In fact, why be shocked or surprised that at some point we are genuinely happy that even our inner being radiates or shines so brightly like the sun.
We deserve happiness. The world owes us goodness.
To be blissful is not something to hide or feel guilty about, nor is the idea of expecting happiness.
It isn’t about having high expectations or being demanding, Instead, it is one of the primal desires of every human being - to reach a level of satisfaction that one becomes completely content and at ease with one’s self.
So, expect happiness because it it yours to feel and own.
What frustrates me the most is that an individual’s passport/nationality dictates and controls the opportunities that the world offers.

I definitely do not like you;
nor
do I respect you

I am civil and polite
I hold my tongue
Doesn’t mean you are right or knowledgeable
— you just have the title
A caged lion pacing around its enclosure
It has been jailed from the other possibilities
On some occasions it lets everyone hear his mighty roar as a call for freedom
but other times you see him give deep sighs of desperation and resignation
I am like that caged lion
It used to be Italy, Greece, Australia and New Zealand. The typical, the known, developed and the frequently visited. For the past few years my taste has evolved into Mongolia, and Bhutan. Recently, I added Myanmar (Burma) and Lebanon to the list.
December 2011, during my birth month I hope to either go to Myanmar, or plan a Laos-Vietnam-Cambodia trip. This time, I will not whisper, the universe needs to hear me shout this desire out.
